How it works
Get the hardware
We recommend the xTool F1 Ultra — a powerful dual laser suited to both wood and metal. Outside of race days, you can use it for other engraving and craft projects too, so your investment keeps earning its keep.
Buy credits
Purchase a credit pack (100, 500, 1000, or 5000 credits) — the bigger the pack, the lower the cost per credit.
Engrave on site
Our software connects automatically to raceresult.com. Running an event on a different timing system (or none at all)? The participant simply types in their own name and time instead. You engrave, the participant pays, and you keep the difference between that price and your credit cost as margin.
Repeat & scale
Book more events, buy bigger credit packs, and grow your margin as your volume increases. You can also scale horizontally by running multiple kiosks (laser+laptop) at once, for larger or simultaneous events.
📶 Required on site: a stable internet connection (WiFi or a mobile hotspot) — the kiosk laptop fetches orders automatically and needs a connection to do so.
Do the math
At an average event with 150 participants requesting an engraving, priced at €10 per engraving, you keep roughly €8.79 margin per medal as a partner (on the 1000-credit package, €1 excl. VAT per credit). Over 15 events a year, that adds up to a gross margin of more than €19,000 annually.
